Australia's Strickland Metals jumps on WA gold project drilling results

** Shares of Strickland Metals  STK.AX  rise as much as
13.3% to A$0.094, posting their biggest intraday percentage gain
since Nov. 22
    ** Mineral explorer reports positive drilling results from
its Yandal gold project in Western Australia
    ** Says drilling found significant gold mineralisation in an
area previously thought to have been closed off to
mineralisation
    ** More than 18.4 mln shares change hands, compared with the
30-day average volume of nearly 8.1 mln
    ** Stock had more than doubled in value this year, as of
last close
