Australia's Strike Energy gains as co secures grant for geothermal project

** Shares of Strike Energy Ltd  STX.AX  rise as much as 3.2%
to A$0.325
    ** The energy and fertilizer co says it has been awarded a
A$2 mln ($1.50 mln) grant from Western Australia government

    ** Adds that the grant will be used for preparation and
execution of drilling of Future State-1, co's planned test of
geothermal potential of the Mid-West Geothermal Power Project
    ** Stock up 53.7% this year, as of last close
