STV Studios secures Auction House spin-off commission from Really - as well as
bumper order for original format

 

·    Really places 58-episode order with STV

·    Includes two series of The Yorkshire Auction House, two celebrity
series and a new Edinburgh-based spin-off series

 

STV Studios has received a bumper order from Really for six new series based
on its popular The Yorkshire Auction House format, including a third and
fourth series of The Yorkshire Auction House, two celebrity series and a brand
new spin-off series, The Edinburgh Auction House.

 

The Warner Bros. Discovery-owned free-to-air channel has demonstrated its
long-term commitment to the lifestyle format by commissioning two new
20-episode seasons of The Yorkshire Auction House; two 5-episode runs of
Celebrity Yorkshire Auction House; plus an 8-episode run of its new
Edinburgh-based iteration.

 

Originally launched in March 2021, The Yorkshire Auction House follows
auctioneer Angus Ashworth as he clears homes on the hunt for hidden gems to go
under the gavel at his Ryedale auction house. The show was one of Really's
best-performing original commissions of 2021.

 

The first of two new series of Celebrity Yorkshire Auction House will air
before the end of this year, with stars including Anneka Rice, Sid Owen and
Jennie Bond confirmed to appear.

 

The Edinburgh Auction House

 

Launching in early 2023, 8 x 60' spin-off The Edinburgh Auction House will
introduce 5(th) generation auctioneer Sybelle Thomson. As managing director of
Scotland's biggest auction group - founded by her great-grandfather over 140
years ago - there is no one north of the border better placed than Sybelle to
identify a winning lot.

 

Following a similar format to its Yorkshire-based predecessor, The Edinburgh
Auction House will see Sybelle delving through homes in Scotland in search of
the trinkets, trash and treasure she predicts will deliver the goods at
auction.

 

All series have been ordered by Clare Laycock and commissioned by Charlotte
Reid, with Diccon Green serving as Series Producer and John Redshaw as
Executive Producer.

we created the format for The Yorkshire Auction House that, as well as being
returnable, it had the potential to grow and spawn other iterations that would
be equally as charming and engaging.

Yorkshire, Edinburgh or Celebrity - on screens throughout 2023."
