    * Says it will repurchase up to 20 million shares,
representing
4.9 percent of outstanding, for up to 12 billion yen in total,
during the period from May 31 to Sept. 28 
    * Says it will retire 11 million shares (2.6 percent of
outstanding) of its common stock on June 15
    * Says the total shares outstanding is 406.4 million shares
after
