Cathay Pacific jumps as Hong Kong signals COVID quarantine policy change

** Shares of Hong Kong flagship carrier Cathay Pacific
Airways  0293.HK  jump as much as 3.4% to HK$8.93, the biggest
intraday pct gain since June 28
    ** Stock hit the highest since Aug 11 and on track for a
third straight session of gain
    ** Hong Kong leader John Lee said on Tuesday the government
aims to make an announcement soon on its controversial COVID-19
hotel quarantine policy for all arrivals, as it wants to keep
the city connected with the rest of the world and allow an

    ** The changes could be announced this week, local media
reported 
    ** Hong Kong-listed shares of China Southern Airlines
 1055.HK  climb 0.7%, China Eastern Airlines  0670.HK  rise 1.1%
while Air China  0753.HK  advances 0.5%
    ** Reflecting the positive sentiment following the
announcement, shares of jewellery chain operator Chow Tai Fook
 1929.HK  jump 3.1% to HK$15.86, their highest since Sept 1
    ** Stock of shopping mall operators Link REIT  0823.HK , Sun
Hung Kai Properties  0016.HK , New World Development  0017.HK 
and Wharf REIC  1997.HK  rise between 0.6% and 1.6% 
    ** The Hang Seng Commerce & Industry Index  .HSNC  jumps
1.9%%, while the Hang Seng Composite Index  .HSCI  gains 1% and
the benchmark Hang Seng Index  .HSI  rises 1.1%
