- Unilever ULVR.L said on Tuesday it is in advanced talks to merge its food business with U.S. spice maker McCormick MKC.N  in a potential deal that would create a company valued at about US$60 billion.

- Canada's Sun Life Financial SLF.TO said it will spend nearly  C$3 billion ($2.15  billion) to buy the remaining stakes in its private credit and real estate management units, including a    C$2.4  billion ($1.72 billion) deal to acquire full ownership of real estate investor BGO and private credit provider Crescent Capital.

- The Canadian Human Rights Tribunal has approved an C$8.5 billion ($6.10 billion) agreement giving First Nations in Ontario long-term authority over their own child and family services, marking a major step in resolving a decades-long discrimination case with the federal government.
