** Shares of Sun Silver SS1.AX rise as much as 8.6% to A$1.075, their highest level since October 23, 2024

** Stock last up 7.1% at A$1.06

** The silver and gold explorer says significantly higher silver grades returned from re-assays at its Maverick Springs Project in Nevada

** Around 1.3 mln shares traded, 1.2x the 30-day avg

** YTD, up 69.6%, including current session's moves
