ESG Report to 30 June 2025

 

 

Sylvania (AIM: SLP), the platinum group metals ("PGM"), chrome producer and
developer, with assets in South Africa, is pleased to release its
Environmental, Social and Governance ("ESG") Report 2025, for the year ended
30 June 2025. The full report is available for download from the Company's

ESG Highlights

·      The Company achieved the best overall safety performance in its
history in FY2025, including the achievement of one full year injury-free for
combined Eastern Operations and Doornbosch reaching the milestone of 13-years
Lost-Time Injury ("LTI") free in June 2025;

·      Sylvania paid over 156.6 million South African Rand to
community-based suppliers in FY2025;

·      Enhanced water utilisation measurement achieved, enabling more
reliable tracking of water flows and losses;

·      Significant progress made on more sustainable, efficient, and
cost-effective ways to rehabilitate tailings storage

facilities ("TSFs");

·      Meaningful progress in diversity and inclusion, with women now
representing 29% of the workforce and 40% of the Board;

·      FY2025 saw 4,893 internal training interventions, a 48.93%
increase year-on-year, plus increased community- based employee training and
27 bursaries awarded; and

·      Enhanced climate disclosure with the introduction of Scope 3
emissions reporting, improving transparency and aligning Sylvania with
emerging global ESG standards.

About Sylvania Platinum Limited

 

Sylvania Platinum is a lower-cost producer of platinum group metals ("PGMs")
(platinum, palladium and rhodium) and chrome with Operations located in South
Africa. The Sylvania Dump Operations ("SDO") is comprised of six chrome
beneficiation and PGM processing Plants focusing on the retreatment of
PGM-rich chrome tailings materials from mines in the Bushveld Igneous Complex
("BIC"). The SDO is the largest PGM producer from chrome tailings re-treatment
in the industry. In FY2023, the Company entered into the Thaba Joint Venture
("Thaba JV") which comprises chrome beneficiation and PGM processing Plants,
and is treating a combination of run of mine ("ROM") and historical chrome
tailings from the JV partner, adding a full margin chromite concentrate
revenue stream. The Group also holds mining rights for PGM projects in the
Northern Limb of the BIC.
