Share Buyback Programme Update and Extension

With reference to the Share Buyback Programme (the "Programme") announced on 21 August 2017, the Company announces that between Friday 27 October and Tuesday 31 October 2017, a total of 105,206 Ordinary $0.01 Shares ("Ordinary Shares") were purchased from non-UK based shareholders at a price of A$0.1619 per Ordinary Share. This brings the total purchased during the first offer period under the Programme to 1,531,892 Ordinary Shares.
It has come to the attention of the Company that certain small, non-UK based shareholders encountered some difficulty in locating and submitting their share certificates during the first offer period and as such, the Company has taken the decision to extend the Programme for a further two months to facilitate this. Accordingly, small, non-UK based shareholders will still be able to take up the Company's offer to buy back their Ordinary Shares up to and including 31 December 2017. Full details of the Programme may be accessed via the Company's website at www.sylvaniaplatinum.com.
Ordinary Shares bought back in accordance with this Programme will be held in treasury to be cancelled on completion of the Programme.
Following this transaction, the Company's issued share capital will be 294,648,885 Ordinary Shares of which a total of 11,136,027 Ordinary Shares are held in treasury. Therefore the total number of Ordinary Shares with voting rights in Sylvania is 283,512,858 Ordinary Shares.
