("Symphony" or the "Company")
South Korea - Grand Prize at Korean Pet Startup Competition
For d2w® Dog Waste Bags
Symphony Environmental Technologies Plc, a global leader in "smarter, safer,
and sustainable" plastic and rubber technologies, is delighted to announce
that CPST, its exclusive distributor in South Korea, in collaboration with
PetRize Inc., has been awarded the Grand Prize (Early Startup Division) at the
Gyeonggi Province Pet Startup Competition for the innovative Wanspapa
biodegradable Dog Waste Bag ("Wanspapa").
Developed by CEO Do Hyung Kim of PetRize Inc., Wanspapa incorporates
Symphony's d2w biodegradable masterbatch, supplied by CPST, to deliver a
sustainable solution for pet owners without compromising product performance.
PetRize Inc., a dynamic start-up with modest sales revenues, is pursing
ambitious plans for rapid international expansion. The company is targeting
major retail chains in Korea, North America, Canada and Australia for its
innovative pet product range - regions recognised for their substantial demand
for pet products. As part of this strategy, PetRize aims to integrate Wanspapa
into these sales channels.
This milestone demonstrates how Symphony's d2w technology, supplied by CPST,
delivers tangible commercial value in the global pet market while advancing
environmental sustainability.
"d2w causes polyethylene bags to biodegrade if they enter the open
environment-without compromising performance. CPST remains committed to
expanding sustainable material solutions to global markets."
Product Advantages
Wanspapa offers significant advantages over conventional and imported
alternatives:
1. ASTM D6954-24 open-air biodegradability - proven to leave no
microplastics
2. Easy-open design for convenience
3. Excellent tear strength for reliability
4. Reduced odour for improved user experience
5. Lower CO₂ emissions supporting sustainability goals
6. Manufactured in South Korea - ensuring advanced quality and reliability
These features meet the expectations of environmentally conscious consumers in
the USA, Japan, and South Korea, providing a superior alternative to products
made in China.
Michael Laurier, CEO of Symphony Environmental, commented:
"We are delighted to see this excellent progress through our exclusive
distributors in South Korea. It is a testament not only to our technology, but
to their hard work over many years explaining its benefits. We believe that
further updates will be provided soon "
