NZ's a2 Milk recalls US infant milk formula batches over cereulide presence

May 4 (Reuters) - New Zealand's a2 Milk ATM.NZ said on Monday it has commenced a recall of three batches of its a2 Platinum infant milk formula sold in the United States after testing detected cereulide, a toxin that can cause vomiting.

The affected product was manufactured by a2's associate company, Synlait Milk SML.NZ, according to a statement from Synlait. a2 Milk said no illnesses had been reported, and it is consulting with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
