U.S. stock indexes were mixed on Tuesday as financial shares rose and megacap
growth stocks slid, with investors bracing for a big interest rate hike by the
Federal Reserve this week to tame surging prices. .N 
    
    At 11:57 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was up 0.52% at
33,234.18. The S&P 500  .SPX  was up 0.85% at 4,190.59 and the Nasdaq Composite
 .IXIC  was up 0.34% at 12,578.303.
