The benchmark BSE Sensex .BSESN was up 0.3% at 75,676, while the broader NSE Nifty 50 .NSEI rose 0.38% to 23,778, as a partial rebound in IT stocks and post-results rally in Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles offset a surge in crude prices tied to Middle East conflict. .BO
RUPEE:
The Indian rupee INR=IN declined 0.13% versus the U.S. dollar to 95.8875, as oil prices held above $100 per barrel, while dollar sales by state-run banks helped the currency avoid a record low, traders said. INR/
GOVERNMENT BONDS:
The benchmark 10-year bond IN064835G=CC was quoted at 96.0975 rupees, with the yield up nearly 3.5 bps at 7.0542%, as a domestic fuel price hike rekindled inflation worries and U.S. Treasury yields at one-year highs dented the appeal of emerging-market debt, dampening demand ahead of a fresh debt supply. OVERNIGHT INDEX SWAPS:
The one-year overnight index swap rate INR1YMIBROIS=CC up 6.25 basis points at 6.15%, while the five-year swap rate INR5YMIBROIS=CC rose 9.25 bps to 6.705%.
CALL MONEY:
India's overnight call money rate INROND= was at 5.25%, and the overnight TREPS rate INTREPTOT=TCCL was at 5.10%.
