The benchmark BSE Sensex .BSESN was up 0.3% at 75,676, while the broader NSE Nifty 50 .NSEI rose 0.38% to 23,778, as a partial rebound in IT stocks and post-results rally in Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles offset a surge in crude prices tied to Middle East conflict. .BO

RUPEE:

The Indian rupee INR=IN declined 0.13% versus the U.S. dollar to 95.8875, as oil prices held above $100 per barrel, while dollar sales by state-run banks helped the currency avoid a record low, traders said. INR/

GOVERNMENT BONDS:

The benchmark 10-year bond IN064835G=CC was quoted at 96.0975 rupees, with the yield up nearly 3.5 bps at 7.0542%, as a domestic fuel price hike rekindled inflation worries and U.S. Treasury yields at one-year highs dented the appeal of emerging-market debt, dampening demand ahead of a fresh debt supply.
