(a) Re-designation of Mr. Uttam Singh as Vice President Operations (Tata
Steel Kalinganagar)
Mr. Uttam Singh, Vice President Operations (Tata Steel Meramandali), is being
re-designated as
Vice President Operations (Tata Steel Kalinganagar), with effect from December
1, 2025.
(b) Appointment of Mr. Sudhir Mehta as Vice President Operations (Tata Steel
Meramandali)
Consequent to the change mentioned at point (a) above, Mr. Sudhir Mehta is
being appointed as
Vice President Operations (Tata Steel Meramandali) - Designate, with effect
from November 15, 2025, and as Vice President Operations (Tata Steel
Meramandali) with effect from December 1, 2025.
The details as required in terms of the Master Circular No.
SEBI/HO/CFD/PoD2/CIR/P/0155 dated November 11, 2024, issued by the Securities
and Exchange Board of India are enclosed herewith as Annexure A.

Brief Profiles
Mr. Uttam Singh
Mr. Uttam Singh graduated in Metallurgical Engineering from IIT BHU in 1992
and subsequently joined as a Graduate Trainee in Tata Steel Limited,
Jamshedpur. After a stint of 4 years as Trainee and Manager of Blast Furnace
Operation, he left on a sabbatical to earn 'Executive MBA' from XLRI,
Jamshedpur. Since then, he has been serving in various capacities at Tata
Steel for the last 25 years. He is presently the Vice President - Operations,
Tata Steel Meramandali.
Mr. Singh has made significant contributions in the blast furnace
understanding, design and process improvements like estimation of floating
state of the dead-man and its relation to the stability of the blast furnace
operation, mass distribution in the falling stream of burden materials,
development of coke rate prediction model for blast furnaces, evolution of
refractory design in 'I' blast furnace of Tata Steel and improvement in slag
granulation system design at 'I' blast furnace of Tata Steel, in total
accounting to 22 international/national journals and one patent.
Mr. Singh also led the successful team for the fastest ramp-up of 'I' Blast
Furnace, achieving a record productivity of 2.8 Tons/day/m3 in the second year
of production and achieving highest manpower productivity of 25 KT/man/year
which is better than European counter parts. During his stint as the Chief of
'I' blast furnace he has also recorded just 'One Lost Time Injury', 'Zero
Effluent discharge' and 'Reduction of Water Consumption to 0.5m3/ton of hot
metal'. He is also the recipient of 'Best Departmental Head of the Year', Tata
Steel Limited, in 2005.
In recognition of his phenomenal contribution to the understanding, design and
process optimization of blast furnaces keeping in mind the environment and
safety concerns, Mr. Uttam Singh was awarded the "2014 TSL New Millennium
Award".
Mr. Sudhir Mehta
Mr. Sudhir Mehta joined Tata Steel as a Graduate Trainee in 1998 after
completing his B. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from IIT BHU. Since 1998, he
has worked in different capacities across functions of Maintenance, Operations
and Project execution.
Mr. Mehta started his career in the Maintenance Engineering department and
subsequently in 2000 he moved as Supply executive. In 2001, he was
redesignated as Manager Mechanical Maintenance, A&B Blast Furnace, and
thereafter transferred as Manager Projects in 2004, working for H&I Blast
Furnaces projects. In 2007, he was promoted as Head Mechanical LD#3. In 2015,
he was promoted and transferred to Kalinganagar as Chief Mechanical
Maintenance, Iron Making. In 2021 he was deputed to erstwhile Tata Steel BSL
Limited ('TSBSL') and on foldback of TSBSL, was appointed as Chief Shared
Services, Tata Steel Meramandali. In February 2022, he was appointed as Leader
of the Neelachal Ispat Nigam Limited ('NINL') PMO Team. Currently, he is the
Managing Director of NINL since July 2022.
Mr. Mehta comes with more than 26 years of rich and varied business
experience. He has been a high performing leader with a proven track record.
His achievement orientation and strategic mindset has provided good leadership
to the NINL where he has led as Managing Director.
