Dear Madam, Sirs,

Sub: Disclosure under Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of
India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015

This has reference to our disclosure dated April 4, 2026 on the aforementioned
subject.

Background:

On April 3, 2026, Tata Steel Limited ('Company') received a Demand Notice
dated March 30, 2026, issued by the District Mining Office, Ramgarh, Jharkhand
('DMO') demanding an aggregate amount of ₹1755,10,54,029/-. The demand has
been made alleging excess extraction of approximately 1,62,40,399 MT of
mineral coal from the Company's West Bokaro Colliery beyond the permissible
limits during the period FY 2000‑01 to FY 2006‑07. The demand notice was
issued by the DMO based on grounds similar to those noted by the Hon'ble
Supreme Court in the case of 'Common Cause vs. Union of India'

(WPC No. 114 of 2014).

Present Status:

The Management believes that the demand lacks justification and substantive
basis. Accordingly, the Company has today, i.e. April 24, 2026, filed a
Revision Application bearing No. 101 of 2026 before the Hon'ble Revisional
Authority, Ministry of Coal, Government of India challenging the Demand Notice
issued by the DMO, Ramgarh. For further details, please refer to Annexure-A.

This disclosure is being made by the Company in compliance with Regulations 30
and 51 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and
Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

This is for your information and records.
