Erdogan says recent funds crisis poses no risk to Turkish financial system
Erdogan says recent funds crisis poses no risk to Turkish financial system ANKARA, Sept 24 (Reuters) - Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said a recent crisis involving investment funds posed no risk to the country's financial system or broader economy, adding that authorities would introduce measures to prevent a recurrence.
"We are talking about a problem that emerged in a limited area of the capital markets, in a certain number of funds. There is no risk to either our financial system or the Turkish economy," Erdogan told a group of Turkish journalists in New York, according to a text of his remarks shared by his office on Thursday.
