Australia's Tesoro Resources sees best day in two weeks on premium placement

** Shares of Tesoro Resources Ltd  TSO.AX  rise as much as
2.9% to A$0.070, their best session since Feb 15 - if gains hold
    ** The gold miner says it has received firm commitments to
raise A$1 mln ($726,200.00) under a share purchase plan

    ** Issue price of A$0.085 per share is at a 25% premium to
the last closing price, when it previously traded on Feb. 28
    ** Co says funds raised will be used to advance its flagship
El Zorro Gold Project, in Northern Chile
