May 26 (Reuters) - Below are company-related news and
stories from France and Benelux which could have an impact on
the region's markets or individual stocks.
    
    ASCENCIO  ASCE.BR :
    Belgian group said on Thursday its net results for the first
half of the fiscal year had dropped to 22.2 million euros. 
    
    CASINO  CASP.PA :
    French retailer said on Friday it was officially starting
court-backed negotiations with its creditors  as the
heavily-indebted group seeks a way out of its financial woes
while weighing two tie-up bids from wealthy investors. Casino
shares will resume trading at 0700 GMT after being suspended
earlier this week.
    
    COFACE  COFA.PA :
    Credit insurance company on Thursday said its net income for
the first quarter had increased by 17% to 61.2 million euros. 
    
    EUTELSAT  ETL.PA :
    Satellite operator on Thursday said that Orby Elevate had
selected Eutelsat 117 West for a direct-to-home TV distribution
across the US.
    
    INVENTIVA  IVAA.PA :
    French biopharmaceutical group announced on Thursday that
its partner Sino Biopharm received  Investigational New Drug
(IND) approval approval from the Chinese National Medical
Products Administration (NMPA) to initiate clinical trial with
lanifibranor in China for the treatment of non-alcoholic
steatohepatitis of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis. 
    
    GAUSSIN  ALGAU.PA , PLASTIC OMNIUM  PLOF.PA :
    Both groups on Thursday said it had formed a partnership
aimed at accelerate the development of Gaussin's range hydrogen
port equipment. 
    
    ORPEA  ORP.PA :
    French care home group on Thursday said it had signed an
agreement with Adoro SIA for the sale of a retirement home in
Riga, its entire scope of activities in Latvia, as the company
is reviewing its geographic footprint.
    
    SANOFI  SASY.PA :
    French drugmaker on Thursday said the Board of directors had
appointed Frédéric Oudéa as Chairman to succeed Serge Weinberg.
    
    SCOR  SCOR.PA :
    French insurer on Thursday said it would undertakes new
pledges to protect environment, including the exclusion of
stand-alone direct insurance and facultative reinsurance cover
for new gas field development projects. 
    
    THERACLION  ALTHER.PA : 
    French medical technology company on Thursday announced a
partnership with Chinese group Furui and a capital increase of
up to 15 million euros.
