ASIC Investigation

 

 

The Company today made the following announcement on the Australian Securities
Exchange (ASX).

 

Tlou Energy Limited has been notified by Australian Securities &
Investments Commission (ASIC) that it has commenced an investigation into
certain statements made by the Company in ASX announcements and other
documents, including the Company's ASX announcement on 16 February 2021 titled
'Carbon Neutrality' and 20 October 2021 titled 'Clean Energy For Botswana and
Beyond'. The Notice states the investigation is into suspected contraventions
by the Company of sections 674, 674A and 1041H of the Corporations Act 2001
and sections 12DA, 12DB and 12DF of the Australian Securities and Investments
Commission Act 2001 during the period between 20 February 2020 and 15 March
2022 in relation to these statements. The Company is co-operating with ASIC in
relation to its investigation.
