TOKYO, Nov 4 (Reuters) - Toho Zinc Co Ltd 5707.T plans to produce 41,300 metric tons of refined lead in the second half of the 2025/26 financial year, up 10.5% from a year earlier, it said on Tuesday.
The country's second half falls between October and March.
Under its business revitalisation plan, Toho Zinc suspended major facilities at its Annaka Smelter and Refinery, north of Tokyo, by the end of March 2025, marking its exit from the zinc smelting business.
The company usually announces its second-half production plan in early October, but a spokesperson said this year's delay was due to the time needed to analyse the causes of a first-half production slump and to consider countermeasures.
Following are details of the company's output plan, with comparisons against estimated production in the first half and actual production in the second half of 2024/25.
