Japan's Toho Zinc sees 15.2% rise in H1 lead output y/y

TOKYO, April 6 (Reuters) - Japan's Toho Zinc 5707.T plans to produce 45,700 metric tons of refined lead in the first half of the 2026/27 financial year, up 15.2% from a year earlier, it said on Monday.

The country's first half runs from April to September.

Toho Zinc suspended major facilities at its Annaka Smelter and Refinery, north of Tokyo, by the end of March 2025, marking its exit from the zinc smelting business.

Following are details of the company's output plan, with comparisons against estimated production in the second half and actual production in the first half of 2025/26.
