Torque Metals jumps over Spodumene find in Western Australia

** Shares of Torque Metals Ltd  TOR.AX  rise as much as
23.5% to A$0.21, set to mark best day since Oct. 27, if gains
hold
    ** Stock hits highest since Nov.10  
    ** The mineral explorer says co has found Spodumene at its
Western Australia New Dawn Lithium Project through reverse
circulation drilling     
    ** Adds that over 90% of the New Dawn lithium project mining
licenses are yet to be explored
    ** Spodumene is a mineral used to extract lithium and
Aluminium silicates   
    ** About 2.8 mln shares change hands, compared with the
30-day average volume of 1.6 mln shares
    ** Stock down 5.6% this year, as of last close
