(Adds detail, chairman and Brammer comment)
COPENHAGEN, Jan 30 (Reuters) - Danish insurer Tryg
TRYG.CO has promoted chief commercial officer Johan Kirstein
Brammer to take over from Morten Hubbe as chief executive when
he to step down after 12 years at the helm of Scandinavia's
largest non-life insurer.
"Our succession planning has been rigorous and successful,
and with Johan's enormous drive, strong business acumen and
demonstrated track record, I have no doubt that he is the right
person to take over," Jukka Pertola, chair of the supervisory
board, said in a company statement.
Brammer, who has worked at McKinsey & Co, Egon Zehnder and
Danish brewer Carlsberg, joined Tryg in 2016 and was appointed
CCO in 2018.
"Tryg must remain an attractive place for talents to unfold
their careers while we deliver market leading profitability and
push ourselves to act as a good corporate citizen that creates
value for all our stakeholders," Brammer said in a statement.
Brammer, 46, will take over on June 1.
CEO Hubbe, 51, joined Tryg at the age of 30 and held the
position as chief financial officer until he was appointed chief
executive in 2011.
Hubbe steps down to pursue a career at a non-executive level
and have more time for family and other interests, the company
said.
