** Shares of Underwood Capital UWC.AX rise as much as 3.1% to A$0.067, on track for their best session since September 5 if current gains hold

** Specialist investment co extends its on-market share buyback, which commenced on October 10, 2024

** UWC intends to commence the buyback on October 27 and it will run for a 12-month period

** UWC may acquire up to a maximum of 20.5 mln shares

** Stock up 31.4% YTD
