    DEBT
    Treasury announces sale of BTP and CCTeu bonds, with
relative amounts to be auctioned on Aug. 29.
    
    ENERGY
    Italy needs to be open to developing nuclear power, Energy
Minister Gilberto Pichetto Fratin said on Friday.
    
    COMPANIES
    Milan Stock Exchange After Hours market closed.
    
    TELECOM ITALIA (TIM)  TLIT.MI 
    Italian banker Claudio Costamagna, a former chairman of
state lender CDP, is working on a plan to gather a group of
investors potentially interested in buying France's Vivendi
shares in the telecoms group, Corriere della Sera daily said on
Saturday, citing unidentified sources. The deal would be based
on a vehicle company purchasing Vivendi shares in multiple
stages, starting from a 6-7% stake for around 500 million euros,
the report added.
    
    SARAS  SRS.MI 
    Varas reopens mandatory takeover offer on Saras shares (to
Aug. 30).
    
    CIVITANAVI SYSTEMS  CNS.MI 
    Is de-listed from the Euronext Milan as of Monday.
    
    UNIEURO  UNIR.MI 
    Italy's market watchdog Consob approved on Friday the offer
document presented by French retailer Fnac Darty  FNAC.PA  for
the acquisition of the Italian consumer electronics group, with
the tender offer period set from Sept. 2 to Oct. 25.
    Fnac Darty offered in July to buy Unieuro for around 249
million euros ($278.23 million) to create a market leader in
consumer electronics and domestic appliances in southern and
western Europe.
