    Rome, first Cabinet meeting after the summer break (1100
GMT).
    
    ECONOMY
    ISTAT releases July unemployment rate flash data (0800 GMT);
August CPI flash data (0900 GMT); August consumer and business
confidence data (1000 GMT).
    
    COMPANIES
    JUVENTUS  JUVE.MI 
    The Italian Serie A team has sold Italy forward Federico
Chiesa to Liverpool on a long-term contract, the two clubs said
on Thursday.
    
    UNIEURO  UNIR.MI  
    Fnac Darty  FNAC.PA  and Ruby Equity Investment on Thursday
stood by their takeover offer for the Italian consumer
electronics retailer after Unieuro's board failed to agree on
the price offered.  
    
    Milan Stock Exchange After Hours market closed.
    
    SARAS  SRS.MI 
    Varas' reopening of mandatory takeover offer on Saras shares
ends.
    
    DIARY
        Assogestioni expected to release July fund flows data.
  
        Rome, first Cabinet meeting after the summer break,
chaired by Prime minister Giorgia Meloni (1100 GMT). Meloni also
hosts a government coalition summit with Foreign Minister
Antonio Tajani and Infrastructure and Transport Minister Matteo
Salvini.
    Ceglie Messapica, 7th edition of annual event on "From
Puglia to the South, from Italy to Europe (and beyond). Dreams
and projects of an end of summer night" continues (1700 GMT);
ends 31 August. On Friday expected attendees include business
lobby Confindustria President Emanuele Orsini, A2A  A2.MI 
Chairman Roberto Tasca, Interior Undersecretary Wanda Ferro,
European Affairs and National Recovery and Resilience Plan
(NRRP) Minister Raffaele Fitto.
