5.6.1 of the Rule Book of the Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited ("PSX"), we
hereby convey the following information:

"Park View Enclave (Private) Limited has filed Suit No. 1384 of 2024 ("Suit")
in the Sindh High Court at Karachi against Shaukat Fayaz Tarin and others in
connection with the proposed amalgamation of Silkbank Limited with and into
United Bank Limited ("UBL") pursuant to a scheme of amalgamation to be
sanctioned by the State Bank of Pakistan under Section 48 of the Banking
Companies Ordinance, 1962. UBL has also been impleaded in the Suit as
Defendant No. 17.

 

The Sindh High Court has passed an order on December 18, 2024 in the Suit
directed at Defendants No. 1 to 11 ("Order"). A copy of the Order is attached.

 

UBL shall keep the Exchange informed of any material developments in this
regard."
