NASDAQ DOWN AGAIN WITH MORE TECH SELLING, S&P 500, DOW TURN GREEN
The Nasdaq .IXIC is soft again on Friday as this week's selloff in technology shares continued, while the Dow .DJI and S&P 500 are nominally higher after reversing up early losses.
Technology .SPLRCT and the Philadelphia SE Semiconductor index .SOX are both down but off earlier lows.
Shares of Micron Technology MU.O are down nearly 2% after gaining more than 15% in the previous session.
Investors are worried about lofty valuations in the tech sector, continued massive spending on AI by tech companies and also about chances for interest rate hikes from the Federal Reserve this year.
Heavy trading volume is likely this session with changes to Russell indexes due to take effect after the market's close.
