Valneva falls after H1 revenue, operating profit drop
BUZZ-Valneva falls after H1 revenue, operating profit drop ** Shares in Valneva fall 3.6% after the French vaccine maker posted a drop in its H1 revenue and operating profit
** "Valneva's H1 results show a picture of continued declining revenues due to geopolitical pressures, widened operating loss, and ongoing cash management measures," brokerage Kempen says in a note
** Broker however flags that the drop was largely expected and not far from consensus estimates
** Kempen adds that "the next steps for the Lyme program remains the key" as commentary from partner Pfizer PFE.N continues to signal optimism on the vaccine candidate's prospects of approval
** Up to the previous session's close, shares were down 33.8% YTD
