April 28 (Reuters) - The board of French bottler Verallia VRLA.PA will issue a positive opinion on a takeover bid by Brazil's Moreira Salles family for all of its shares, the company said on Monday.
BW Gestao de Investimentos (BWGI), owned by the Moreira Salles holding company Brasil Warrant Administracao de Bens e Empresas (BWSA), said in March it would pay 30 euros ($34.00) for each share it does not own in the company, valuing it at 6.1 billion euros.
An ad hoc committee set up to assess the offer said that the bid is "friendly" and the price offered is fair for shareholders despite being "at the lower end of the intrinsic valuation range", Verallia said in a statement.
BWGI said in March it does not plan to delist the company, and that the offer will not lead to any job cuts.
