** Morningstar analyst Tancrede Fulop and Sydbank's Jacob Pedersen both point to comments by Chancellor Friedrich Merz in an interview to Recharge News on Thursday suggesting a slowdown of Germany's renewables expansion

** The German government expects to announce policy changes related to energy transition next week

** "Germany historically has been the largest contributor of turbine deliveries in EMEA for Vestas," Fulop says

** Vestas stock is among the worst STOXX 600 .STOXX performers; it closed 5% down on Thursday

** German peer Nordex NDXG.DE falls 3.4%
