Vicinity Centres likely to appoint COO as top boss- Jefferies

** Australian mall operator Vicinity Centres  VCX.AX  will
likely appoint an internal candidate to the top job, brokerage
Jefferies says, after the company announced the retirement of
its current boss 
    ** VCX says chief executive and managing director Grant

    ** VCX says it will consider internal and external
candidates; Jefferies says the most likely candidate is chief
operating officer Peter Huddle
    ** "Given Peter's expertise, we consider him a safe pair of
hands, and do not expect a material change in strategy" -
Jefferies 
    ** Jefferies has a price target of A$1.84 on VCX and a
"hold" rating 
    ** VCX closed Monday trading 0.3% lower at A$1.945
