UK's Victrex rises on beating FY expectations

** Shares of specialty chemicals maker Victrex PLC  VCTX.L 
rise 12.3% at 221.5p ; stock second top pct. gainer on FTSE
midcaps  .FTMC  index
    ** Posts FY adj. profit before tax of 59.1 million pounds
($74.77 million), beating analysts' estimate of 54.78 million
pounds, as per LSEG data
    ** Reports FY group rev. 291 million pounds, also ahead of
analysts' estimate of 290.1 million pounds
    ** After a soft start to FY 2024, there was some improvement
during H2 within sustainable solutions, primarily in value-added
resellers and electronics, said CEO Jakob Sigurdsson
    ** As of last close, stock down ~34.03% YTD
