** Shares of UK-based high-performance polymer manufacturer Victrex VCTX.L fall more than 10% to 702 pence, on track for record biggest drop since May 2023, if losses hold

** Victrex appoints AB Dynamics' ABDP.L James Routh as its new CEO after Jakob Sigurdsson announced plans to retire

** Expects H2 underlying pretax profit to be on similar level as H1 due to continuation of Q3 sales mix and average selling price trends for rest of full year

** YTD, Victrex stock down 34.3%
