SYDNEY, April 16 (Reuters) - Australia's Viva Energy VEA.AX said on Thursday that most units at its Geelong refinery were still operating and processing fuel though at minimum rates to maintain safety across the site after a fire overnight.
"We'll only start increasing production again once we're confident that we can do that safely," CEO Scott Wyatt told reporters.
Firefighters were battling a fire at Viva's motor gasoline or MOGAS production unit at the Geelong refinery in Victoria state, which processes crude into petrol.
