Indian air conditioner makers gain on report of easing certification norm

** Shares of Indian air conditioner makers rise between 1%-2%

** Television CNBC Awaaz reported, citing sources, that India is likely to relax Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) norms for air conditioners and air conditioner components for below two tonnes

** BIS is a mandatory Indian product certification for products to be exported to and sold in India

** Voltas VOLT.NS rises 2%, Havells India HVEL.NS gains 1.1%, and Blue Star BLUS.NS up 1%

** So far in 2025, VOLT, BLUS and HVEL are down  26%, 5% and 1.5%, respectively
