Adds details from paragraph 2

ZURICH, Feb 6 (Reuters) - Swiss bank Vontobel VONN.S on Friday posted a net profit of 280 million Swiss francs ($361 million) for 2025, up 5% year on year, and beating a company-provided consensus forecast of 242 million francs.

Net new money totalled 4.2 billion Swiss francs, with the private client segment contributing 5.8 billion francs and the institutional segment losing 1.6 billion francs after a string of outflows, the bank added in its full-year results presentation.

Net new money growth in 2025 was 1.8%, against a target of 4%-6% over the bank's financial cycle, which has no specified date.

Separately, Vontobel announced that Thomas Hirschi, former banking head at Swiss financial market regulator FINMA, will join the bank as chief risk officer in March.
