** Shares of WA1 Resources  WA1.AX  soar as much as 70.6% to
hit a record high of A$3.020
    ** The copper and gold explorer has secured firm commitments
to raise A$10 mln via a placement  urn:newsml:reuters.com:*:nTUEGS6GT
    ** Co says capital raised will be used for a drilling
programme in its West Arunta Project in Western Australia for
Niobium-Rare Earth Element mineralised carbonatite discoveries
    ** Issue price of A$2.00 per share is at a 13% premium to
the last traded price on Nov 11
    ** Stock set for best day since Oct 26, if gains hold
    ** Stock up multi-fold this year, as of last close, since
its IPO on Feb 8
