Marc Cameron to join Weir as President of Minerals Division
Weir PLC today announces the appointment of Marc Cameron as President of its Minerals Division. Marc will join Weir on 26 October 2026 and become a member of the Group Executive.
Marc brings more than 25 years of leadership experience spanning mining operations, heavy equipment, technology-led solutions and global commercial roles. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President, Resource Industries at Caterpillar Inc., where he led the global commercial organisation and drove growth through integrated, customer-focused solutions and services. He also led the expansion of Caterpillar’s portfolio of data-driven mining technology and software solutions.
Before joining Caterpillar in 2020, Marc spent almost two decades with Rio Tinto where he held a number of senior operational and leadership roles. These included Managing Director, Rio Tinto Kennecott and President and Chief Operating Officer of the Diavik Diamond Mine. Across these roles, he led large, integrated mining operations with responsibility for safety, operational performance, strategy development and execution, and talent development.
Originally from New Brunswick, Canada, Marc will be based in Fort Worth, USA when he joins Weir.

He brings more than 25 years of leadership experience spanning mining operations, technology-led solutions and global commercial roles. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President, Resource Industries at Caterpillar Inc. Before joining Caterpillar in 2020, Marc spent almost two decades with Rio Tinto, where he held senior roles including Managing Director of Rio Tinto Kennecott and President and Chief Operating Officer of the Diavik Diamond Mine. Marc began his career in the construction industry as an engineer and holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of New Brunswick and an MBA in Global Management from the University of Phoenix.
