** Stock marks its biggest intraday pct gain since March 25

** Diversified miner finds presence of high-grade silver in initial samples from its first drilling exercise at the Elizabeth Hill Silver project in Western Australia

** About 6 mln shares change hands, over 3x the 30-day avg trading volume of about 1.6 mln

** Stock has more than doubled in value so far this year
