Australia's Western Mines rises on securing funding

** Shares in Western Mines  WMG.AX  rise as much as 8.8% to
A$0.310, set to advance most since July 5 - if current gains
hold
    ** The mineral exploration co secures A$6 million  ($4.06
million) funding 
    ** Funds will be used to expand & accelerate exploration at
Mulga Tank Project, co adds
    ** Stock up 9.6% this year as of last close
