Australia's Whitehaven posts 29% fall in full-year profit Aug 19 (Reuters) - Australia's Whitehaven Coal WHC.AX reported a 29% drop in its full-year profit on Wednesday, weighed by lower realised coal prices.
The country's largest independent coal miner reported an underlying net profit after tax of A$227 million ($160.78 million) for the year ended June 30, compared with A$319 million a year earlier.
That missed the Visible Alpha estimate of A$247.6 million.
