** Yancoal Australia YAL.AX rises as much as 11.1% to hit A$7.03, highest since August 19, 2024

** New Hope NHC.AX and Whitehaven Coal WHC.AX advance 6.2% and 3.7%, respectively

** All three miners among top movers on the broader benchmark .AXJO, which is down 3.9%
