Australia's Widgie Nickel sees best day in nine weeks on capital raise

** Shares of Widgie Nickel WIN.AX advance as much as 7.3%
to A$0.280 - poised for their best day since March 15, if gains
hold
** Nickel explorer says it has completed a share placement
to raise A$12 mln ($8.14 mln)
** Co says proceeds raised will be used to fund exploration
and evaluation activities at its flagship Mt Edwards Project in
Western Australia
** Issue price of A$0.26 per share is same as previous
trading price before stock went on trading halt on May 18
** Shares hit their highest level in a week
** Stock down ~21.2% this year, as of last close
($1 = 1.4743 Australian dollars)
