Oct 21 (Reuters) - Australia's Woodside Energy WDS.AX
will supply liquid hydrogen to Singapore's Keppel KPLM.SI to
power its data centres, the companies said in a joint statement
on Monday.
The companies signed a conditional offtake term sheet, which
tables commercial principles that may pave the way for an
eventual binding offtake agreement for the supply of liquid
hydrogen from Woodside from as early as 2030.
The term sheet follows an initial agreement between the
companies in April 2023, which entailed potential purchases of
about 1,000 metric tons per day of liquid hydrogen by Keppel
Data Centres, including supply from Woodside's proposed H2Perth
facility in Perth.
"Keppel intends for the potential liquid hydrogen supply to
form part of a larger, long-term utility-scale lower carbon
power portfolio that Keppel is building to power its assets,"
the companies said.
