Australia's XRF Scientific rises after company bags gas analysis business

** Shares of Australia's XRF Scientific XRF.AX rise as much as 4.6% to A$1.95

** Stock on track for second consecutive session of gains, if current trend holds

** The laboratory instrument manufacturer says its unit, XRF Technology, enters an agreement with Bruker AXS SE to acquire Bruker's Combustion Gas Analysis (CGA) business

** Says deal for $4 million

** Company says it will pay additional earnout of up to $1 mln depending on performance of CGA business over three years

** Bruker's CGA business is a range of analytical instruments for elemental analysis of important combustible gases

** Despite moves, stock down 6.9% YTD
