FuelCell Energy names Matthew Latino as chief financial officer Oct 7 (Reuters) - FuelCell Energy FCEL.O on Wednesday named Matthew Latino as chief financial officer, effective October 7, 2026, succeeding finance chief Michael Bishop as part of a planned leadership transition.
Shares of the Danbury, Connecticut-based company fell nearly 7% in premarket trade.
Here are a few details
Bishop, who has spent more than two decades at the company, will remain as a senior adviser through FuelCell Energy's 2027 annual shareholder meeting to support the transition.
Latino joins from Xylem XYL.N, where he served as senior vice president of finance and segment CFO for its Measurement & Control Solutions business.
The fuel cell power company said it expects growth to be supported by increasing demand for reliable power from AI and data center infrastructure.
FuelCell laid off 22% of its workforce last year as part of a global restructuring plan to reduce its operating expenses by 30% from a year earlier.
The company reaffirmed its previously announced goal of achieving positive adjusted core profit in the fourth quarter of 2027.
