Here are the details
The acquisition would increase the water-management company's exposure to sectors benefiting from infrastructure investment and rising resource demand.
Cornell Pump and Roper Pump make specialized pumps that handle slurries, solids and other difficult materials for construction, mining, agriculture, energy, food and beverage and municipal applications.
The businesses are expected to generate more than $260 million in revenue in 2026. Xylem expects $23 million in annual cost savings and about $170 million in tax benefits from the acquisition.
The businesses would become part of Xylem's Water Infrastructure segment, and the deal is expected to be accretive to Xylem's adjusted earnings per share in 2027.
The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary conditions.
