Australia's Consolidated Zinc climbs most in 8 weeks on offtake deal

** Shares of Consolidated Zinc  CZL.AX  rise as much as
39.3% to A$0.039, post their best intraday session since Oct 22
on an offtake deal for its Mexican unit 
    ** The zinc explorer says the unit entered an offtake
agreement with Metco Trading S.A. de C.V. for 100% of the lead
concentrates produced from its Plomosas Mine in Mexico during

    ** Stock hits highest level since Nov 16
    ** About 2.9 mln shares change hands, compared with the
30-day average of about 514,000 shares 
    ** CZL stock down 42.9% year-to-date, as of last close
