** Mineral explorer receives firm commitments from Perth-based investment co Ida Metals Investments for A$7.65 million ($5.04 million) placement

** Issue price of A$0.1275 per share represents a premium of 2% to stock's last close

** About 4.3 mln shares change hands, 2.3 times the 30-day avg

** Stock has more than tripled in value so far this year
